Raw materials
“Every material has its own language.”

Materials are often the starting point of my design process. I am particularly drawn to raw, natural and authentic materials, whose textures and imperfections tell a story. I believe that a carefully curated material palette can shape the entire identity of a project, creating atmosphere, emotion and coherence. For me, when materials are chosen with intention, they become much more than a surface treatment — they become architecture itself.
Deep tones
“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.”
Coco Chanel
Aesop Toronto Store - Odami
The Warm Lounge - A-Plus Design Studio
Bottega Veneta Amsterdam store
Oakv - Atelier Carle
I am particularly drawn to deep, earthy tones for the atmosphere they create and the elegance they convey. Browns, burgundies, clay reds and mineral shades bring warmth, character and timelessness to a space. Beyond their aesthetic qualities, these colours contribute to the identity of a place, giving it depth, presence and a sense of refinement. They help create environments that feel both sophisticated and inviting, while enhancing the emotional experience of the space.
Details
“The details are not the details. They make the design.”
Charles Eames
I place great importance on details, as they are often what give a project its coherence and quality. Whether it is a joinery detail, a tiling layout, a piece of hardware or the junction between two materials, every element contributes to the overall spatial experience. To me, a successful project is defined not only by its overall concept but also by the care devoted to its smallest details. It is through this level of precision that the true richness of interior architecture is revealed.
A Deeper Look Into My Creative Universe
As part of an additional academic exercise, we were asked to create an introspective book aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves, our creative sensibilities and our architectural identity.
This project allowed me to explore the influences, values and experiences that shape the way I approach design. It therefore provides a more personal insight into who I am and how my personality informs my creative process and architectural vision.
